HAPPY SUNDAY

Just a short post today to say, “Happy Sunday”. I hope you are enjoying the spring weather. I was beginning to wonder if we would ever get a real spring day, but today, though a little cool, is just perfect.

As I drove to church and back this morning, I so enjoyed the flowers filling gardens and the blossoms on the trees. It is a beautiful time of year. Another thing I love is to hear the birds singing and filling the air with life.

I also wanted to share with you some of my recent artwork. My photo cut off off a little of the chickadee, but I hope you enjoy the colorful birds. I don’t know if I have ever done drawings of birds before, but I had fun doing them in colored pencil.

I hope this has brightened your day a little. Thanks for taking time to stop by. I hope you will leave a comment in the box below before you leave. I do look forward to your comments. 1. Oh, Diane, your drawings are amazing!!! Yes, definitely cheered up my day, my friend. If you post later this week, but don’t see a comment from me, please understand that I’ll be spending the time with my mother where I have no computer, and iffy access to a phone signal.
    May your week be blessed!

    • Thank you so much, Martha. I hope your visit will be enjoyable. I think it’s good to sometimes be away from the computer. I seldom am on on Sundays, but today I had some things I needed to communicate with people. Also I hope to get a little more editing done on my book on prayer to get it ready as soon as possible for publishing. God bless.

    • Thanks, Laura. I’m in a FaceBook group for Christian artists and writers, and the leader puts up a new page every weekday where we are to share our daily artwork. I hadn’t done any art for a long time, so this has got me back into the groove again. I’m using colored pencils mostly with one watercolor. So I thought I would share the combined week’s work here as it was all on one page. I did two one day and one on the other days.

    • Thank you for stopping and commenting, Mary. And thank you for the compliment. I love birds, too, especially the really colorful ones. I can’t recall ever drawing birds before, at least not in full and not in color. God bless.

  2. Diane, each time I see your drawings or read your words, I am inspired to be more of what I am put in this Life to Be. I saw your birds today and wept tears of Joy as I remembered a significant moment tied to birds such as these. The first day I woke as a free-minded woman in my own home, it was the sweet song of birds waking me. This was a childhood wish of mine come true. Thank you for bringing this memory back to me through your drawing. Today, you have made a significant difference in my life.

    • Thank you for your encouraging comment and for taking time to read my post. You made my day! It is my prayer always that what I write, whether in my blog or in my books, to encourage others, and often I have no idea whether or not I have accomplished this. Your comment gives me reason to keep posting. Thank you and God bless you richly.

    • Thanks for stopping by and commenting. And thanks for the follow. I’m glad you enjoyed the birds. It’s the first time I have ever done birds in color, maybe in any medium. It was fun. Have a wonderful day. God bless.
